Information for the names Matt, Yamato, and Sora were recieved by going to kabalarians.com. I looked up both the name Yamato, AND Matt because they were both on there, and both are his name...so I figured why not. I also suggest going to this site Ninja it has some interesting stuff on someone named Yamato-Takeru, and some other digimon linking freaky stuff. And this site has nothing to do with digimon...0_o;
Anyway, enjoy the much in-depth analysis' I found on both Yamato (Matt) and Sora's names.
Yamato
Your name of Yamato indicates qualities of a leader and organizer but a difficulty in concentrating and systematizing your efforts interferes with achieving your goals. You desire a good standard of living and the best quality in all your material possessions. You have a friendly nature, well-liked by others for your sense of humour and pleasant personality and you love parties and socializing in general. You could be musically or artistically inclined and may often be the "life" of the party and would enjoy finding expression in the entertainment field. You have a pleasure-loving nature, and although you have an ability to meet and mix with people on all levels, you tend to become involved in awkward emotional situations to your detriment. Deriving pleasure from giving to others, you enjoy spending money on them, but tend to be a spendthrift, and not build up a reserve for emergencies. You have a good appetite, and appreciate the best and richest foods.

The area around the Yamato River, in the vicinity of Nara, where the clan who first unified Japan located their capitals. The archaizing name Yamato for the origin and heart of Japanese culture has deep resonance and evokes a particular type of ancient Japaneseness.

Source: Origin of the Japanese people
Yamato is the name of a place where the people settled who later seized all of Japan. When these people came to the Yamato region (in Nara prefecture), is not yet known clearly, but their orally inherited myths talk about the war when they came east to settle in Yamato. I think these people were the last wave from the Korean peninsula, who organized politically and started to conquer people who had wet rice culture from former waves. Their myths talk about the war against Idumo in the West, Kumaso (or Hayate) in the South, and later Ezo or Aduma people in the East. As they expanded their territory, their language prior to Old Japanese became the common language on the island.
Ryuukuian, or the language of the Okinawa Islands separated from Old Japanese somewhere between the 3rd and 5th centuries. So, it is either the closest language or the most distant dialect of Japanese.

Matt
The first name of Matt creates an intense personal nature. Your feelings and emotional desires are strong and consequently you are an individual, determined, strong-willed person. Your creative nature and ambition drive you to pursue success to the extent that you jeopardize your personal well-being. There is a tendency for you to dominate others. You are too certain of yourself, and you are not open to the views of others or responsive to their desires or needs. Also, this name does not incorporate qualities that enable you to be diplomatic and to compromise. In all your work and activities you are inclined to be rather unsystematic and disorderly. These characteristics spoil stability, progress, and accumulation, even though you may put forth intense effort. Tension and frustration exact a heavy toll on your peace of mind and nervous system. You are often preoccupied with the desires and demands of the moment. Temper and indulgence could become serious problems in your life.
Analysis: With all the different interpretations of the name Yamato and Matt, somewhere along the lines, they all connect to his real personality. Everything doesn't apply, but with aspects of Yamato and most aspects of Matt, you have who he really is. Matt describes more, considering the explaination of emotional depth, and the fact "there is a tendency for you to dominate others" which caught my attention most. The fights with Taichi and such, feeling as if Taichi wasn't doing his job, he could do it better or just as good. Yamato can handle himself but emotionally he can't handle too much by himself, that's why he'd rather stay away from issues like that, and which is why he said he never let anyone close to him since his parents divorce. Later though, he opens up to Sora, but it was a process I would assume, just like Sora, he learned so many things from Gabumon and being in the digital world.
Sora
Your first name of Sora has created a deep, sensitive, refined nature with an intelligent mind. As you are particularly clever along business lines, and have mathematical ability and a keen appreciation of material values, you are inclined towards the business world. You would do well in a managerial position, as you have executive ability and a poised manner able to take charge and see that procedures are followed. You appreciate the finer things of life and look for quality in your material possessions. Your sensitivity and rather reserved manner make it very difficult for people really to know you. It is by actions rather than words that you show your regard for others. Your reticence has caused you to suffer aloneness and to live much within your own thoughts. You love to read, and are touched very deeply by the beauties of nature.

take: strong, martial arts
no: of
uchi: within, inside
sora: sky
Analysis: Apparently the creators of the show were trying to create an entire theme for Sora, just within her own self. Sora the name itself means sky, she has a Digimon that can fly, and she can fly on Birdramon, and Garudamon. Sora seemed to be trapped within her own fears, and confusion which is kind of opposite of flying, yet during the series she expressed different emotions, somewhat blooming out of the shell she was once in. With the help of Biyomon and the adventures her and other kids went on she became more free. She grew up into a wonderful person, much more open, but emotionally the same. She has the greatest symbolic importances, with the crest of love and being connected to the sky.
